Network 2000 Elects Five Board Officers for New Term -- Ellen H. Yankellow Named President

BALTIMORE— Network 2000, an organization promoting the advancement of women in the corporate world, elected its officers for the 2009-2010 year. The organization's new president, Dr. Ellen H. Yankellow, is president, CEO and majority owner of Correct Rx Pharmacy Services Inc. in Linthicum, Md.

Other newly elected officers serving with Yankellow include:

•President-elect Karen Weatherholtz, senior vice president of Stella Maris in Timonium, Md. She lives in Baldwin, Md.

•Vice President Ellen Fish, president of Towson Community Bank in Towson, Md. She lives in Lutherville, Md.

•Secretary Diane D'Aiutolo, partner at Tydings & Rosenberg, a law firm in Baltimore. She lives in Baltimore.

•Treasurer Elise Morris, partner at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, a law firm in Baltimore. She lives in Hunt Valley, Md.

Dr. Yankellow founded Correct Rx Pharmacy Services Inc. in 2003, which is one of Maryland's largest female-owned businesses and a national leader in institutional pharmacy services focusing on the correctional and senior care markets. Correct Rx's model is based on pharmacy-directed patient care, superior service and advanced technology. This, combined with a culture of caring and accuracy has proven to be a formula for success.

Yankellow serves on many corporate and nonprofit boards including AAA Regional and Mid-Atlantic, J.J. Haines Inc., The Baltimore City Foundation, Charlestown Community Inc. and The Catholic High School to mention a few. In addition, she is chair of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy Board of Visitors and president of the Maryland Chapter of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists. She also co-chaired the Alzheimer's Association Memory Ball in 2007 and 2008.

Among her awards, Yankellow received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for health care services in 2006. She also received three Maryland's Top 100 Women awards from The Daily Record and has been inducted into the Circle of Excellence. Further, Yankellow was inducted into the Chimes Hall of Fame in 2008, received the Bravo! Entrepreneur Award for SmartWoman Magazine and was recognized by The Gazette of Politics and Business as one of Maryland's Top 25 CEO's You Need to Know in 2009. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy with honors in 1973 and earned her doctorate in pharmacy in 1996. She lives in Monkton, Md.

Network 2000 (www.network2000md.org) is a statewide not-for-profit organization in Maryland composed of professional women and men. The organization initiates, supports and engages in activities to prepare and promote women to achieve their full professional potential. Network 2000 seeks to place women on corporate and not-for-profit boards and educates the public on the benefits of having women in decision-making positions. Members serve as role models and mentors to women seeking to advance their career.
