Announces Fast Growth Companies
What makes a Future 50 winner? The key word is growth. Baltimore SmartCEO magazine and Hartman Business Technology announces the publication's fourth annual Future 50 winners, debuting in the January 2008 issue.
The Future 50 program recognizes the 50 fastest growing companies in the Greater Baltimore area based on employee and revenue growth. This year's Future 50 winners collectively employ 5,500 people and for the first time ever, have brought in more than $2 billion in revenues.
Technology companies make up the largest percentage of the winning companies at 40 percent. The other 60 percent is distributed among health, financial institutions, real estate, insurance and other industries. Among the Future 50 winners are companies who have won for the fourth year in a row, and some for the first time. Barcoding, Inc. and Correct Rx Pharmacy are among Future 50's four-time winners, while Bratt Décor and Earth Treks, Inc., are first-year winners.
The common theme among many of the Future 50 CEOs is how key professional mentors have played a role in their current successes.
